Finally, a personal update! by JaneSeymour
Posted 17 days ago
Hi!
It’s nice to have a moment to sit down and blog about what’s going on in my life. It’s been busy, busy, busy – my family and I just returned from a glorious holiday in England and before that I spent most of June working on location in Calgary, Alberta, where I was starring in a new movie being made for The Hallmark Channel.
It’s called ‘Dear Prudence’ and it’s premiering on The Hallmark Channel this Saturday night, 23 August, at 9 PM/ 8 PM Central.
I’m thrilled to be back on television on Saturday night. It brings back wonderful memories of Dr. Quinn, which ran for so many years on...

Dear Prudence Hallmark Community Sites
Here are some direct links to the Hallmark Community areas and forums that Hallmark has created. This comes straight from the VP of Special Projects and New Media, Chad Harris:

We are building the official Prudence websites right now for HallmarkChannel.com to be launched Aug 11. In the meantime, we have established a Dear Prudence presence on our Community Site.

We've created a Dear Prudence group for members to join, blog, and upload videos & photos.

We've set up a Message Board for discussion around the movie.

Jane has been gracious enough to join our Community and we've been uploading the great Vlogs she created with the group.

If you would like to join or encourage your friends to join that would be great. And uploading photos and videos would of course be that much better.

So if you are inspired to create a tribute of any kind, you can upload your tribute to these forums for greater exposure. It's great when everyone is working together for the best level of promotion.
It will be such a boost for Jane's movie -- and so impressive for the Hallmark execs who will be deciding if there are more 'Dear Prudence' movies -- if Jane's fans flock to the Hallmark Community and express their love for Jane, their interest in and anticipation of her return to t.v., etc.
Making this movie the success it certainly deserves to be is fast becoming a growing 'viral' team effort and everyone is a critical part of the promotion.
And if you'd like to join the Friends of Jane Forum to interact with other Jane fans, go here:

Coming this weekend, the URL will change to view link so if you go to the first link and find it not there, try the second.
Looking forward to seeing y'all on the forums and communities.
ART AND BOOKS
I am spreading the news about my new website (and my husband's): www.artbygarrison.com.
I also posted information about three of my books on EONS BOOK GALLERY FOR AUTHORS AND BOOK LOVERS, "From Thunder to Breakfast," Widowhood Happens" and "There's Something About Cave Creek (It's The People)."
More is available from amazon.com.
I've been busy, and I know that you have been too. I'm looking forward to "Dear Prudence" on Hallmark. I know that it's top-notch.
Sincerely,
Gene K. Garrison
Dear Prudence
I have not heard anything about if Rob Gilmer would
actually consider Rob Stewart in a regular role with you
on Dear Prudence.
This time maybe as a cop or PI like he use to play or
even like a love interest or even your cop or PI brother.
It would be great to see him again on another regular series
in a permanent role.
I would love to get permission to get on set if you and
Rob Stewart were there. I always wanted to see what happens
behind the scenes of a tv movie or tv series.
Jane's Hallmark movie
cast & crew of dear prudence
I noticed they have not posted all the cast & crew of
your tv movie Dear Prudence.
I know one of the supporting leads is the Canadian actor
Rob Stewart.
I'm not only a fan of yours but of his also and hope he
will be asked to continue in the series with you even if
his role has to be revamped as opposite as what it is now.
Also on the IMDb Pro you and Rob's profiles do not have
Dear Prudence listed yet.
Dear Prudence
Promotion for the film is in full swing- Jane is very excited about the film and has just completed some extensive promos for Hallmark and now it's up to her fans to spread the word the same way they did when she appeared on Dancing with the Stars. This is a quality family film, with something for everyone- intrigue, humor and romance which Jane's fans are sure to enjoy.
.
The DQ Times website along with all of Jane's websites, has been privileged to work with Rob Gilmer who is the writer and producer of 'Dear Prudence" to help with promotion for the film.
Hallmark is planning an extensive promotion for 'Dear Prudence' which is set to air in late August (exact date to be announced) tentatively August 23 at this point. The network is fully committed to the project and in working with Jane's fan sites so expect lots of behind scenes 'goodies' soon!
The storyline centers around Prudence McCoy, whose mother is world known for a syndicated colum and a series of hugely successful books under the name 'Dear Prudence" When her mother dies, Prudence (2) is asked to continue her mother's work. Jane's character, 'Prudence' is around 47-48 at this point. She has become a successful publisher of a very trendy fashion magazine in London but is convinced to return to the States to fulfil her mother's dream.
Here is a brief synopsis of the film
While on vacation in Wyoming – and under strict orders issued by her boss and long-time family friend to do nothing but rest, relax and recharge her batteries, Prudence gets involved in solving the murder of the son of a woman she meets in Wyoming and saving a sacred Native American site from destruction.
To do so, Prudence uses her insatiable curiosity, her ability to see things that others miss, her inability to not get involved in peoples’ lives and her relentless determination to get to the bottom of what initially appears to be a suicide.
She’s assisted by her lovable, delightfully geeky and charming assistant, NIGEL FORSYTHE III, whose technical expertise and clever insights help uncover clues and evidence that are instrumental in solving this murder mystery.
Prudence is also helped by a local detective, EDDIE DUNCAN, whose initial skepticism is gradually overcome by Prudence’s persistence, passion and persuasive powers.
Prudence simply won’t take ‘no’ for an answer from anyone, especially Eddie Duncan, and she and Nigel uncover enough evidence to convince the experienced detective that she’s actually on to something.
Prudence and Eddie start off rubbing each other the wrong way, much like Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn so often did in their nine films together (‘Pat and Mike’, ‘Adam’s Rib’, etc.), but as the story unfolds they begin to realize that the sparks they initially create might have more to do with a growing and unavoidable attraction they have for each other. A sweet and sensitive romance blossoms between the two of them.
A bit of info on Jane's costars:
Jamey Sheridan
James is an extremely well-known and popular actor who's appeared on several major t.v. shows and series. He was nominated, along with the ensemble cast of 'Chicago Hope', for a Screen Actors Guild award. He recently starred in over 100 episodes of 'Law and Order'.
Ryan Cartwright:
Ryan is a young British actor, born in Birmingham, England. He has a broad background in English television and is an adept comedic actor who's going to bring a tremendous amount of charm and humor to the character of Nigel Forsythe.
The director is Paul Schneider, who has twenty years of directing and producing experience in the t.v. industry, and has worked in legitimate theatre in New York and is currently an Associate Professor of Film and Television at Boston University.
A note from the write/ producer from the 'set' of Dear Prudence:
"We're heading into the last week of our shoot and the footage looks spectacular! We've been blessed with a superb crew -- especially our art department and our production designer (responsible for the 'look' of the show -- Mother Nature does the rest for us and she's been very kind) -- and the chemistry between Jane, Jamey Sheridan (playing Detective Eddie Duncan, Jane's 'love interest' in this show) and Ryan Cartwright (playing Nigel Forsythe III, Jane's geeky but lovable assistant) has been just perfect for the show. Jane looks spectacular and is doing a tremendous job creating - and completely owning -- the character of PRUDENCE MCCOY, an internationally-reknowned columnist (helpful household hints called 'PruPointers') and media celebrity (think Martha Stewart)."
As you can see, Dear Prudence is just the kind of family programming that Dr. Quinn used to provide and that Hallmark has become known for. With your help in getting the word out 'Dear Prudence' will not only be a huge success for Hallmark but may lead to a series vehicle for Jane!
