Last Night's BBQ...

Yesterday I really splurged 'n got myself 2 Maine lobsters... abt. 2 lbs each.
I par-boiled them for about 5 min. each - the pot could only hold 1.
I fired up my charcoal BBQ (natural wood - thank you... lol)... by the time the charcoal was ready, the lobsters were split down the middle. I had prepared a baste (which I later used as a dipping sauce) of sweet butter, minced garlic and Greek (literally - as it's from Greece) oregano.
What a feast (which I deserved)... my doggies were not happy campers though (I usually share with them) as they did not get one bite! I was quite selfish - but, considering the price and that I'm a lobster "addict" (since the tender age of 5yrs old)... no way were they going to get a "treat" (they got my left-overs of BBQd beef tenderloin the day before).
There's nothing better than seafood and shellfish on the barbie.
Happy BBQing...

Hey Pami, Hope you did it up right! Cover the kitchen floor with newspaper, don your bathing suit and a big vinyl bib and let fly :^)

Sounds so good!

Actually, I sat outside on the deck... no bib needed here (lol)... been eating lobsta (as they say in Maine) since I was about 5 or 6 - I leave very little (just the shell, gills, and a few other things)... the coral and/or tomalley ( sp?) are 2 of the best tidbits to eat at the end of the feasting.
Tonight, I had a steak on the grill, baked potato (sprinkled w/ water 'n wrapped in foil) directly in the coals and a salad.
I think I eat better in the summer than in the winter... lol.
