How about the women in the military memorial?
LL, I'm trying to type this @ 3:45am, one handed while holding a sleeping (almost) grandson, so hope this makes sense.
I belong to a FANTASTIC group for supporting our troops called Soldiers Angels. They are a member only group and you must submit an application for approval --they want to make sure that you are legit and not just someone out to use the program as a dating service, as it were. They have team leaders in just about each state and they have so many different teams you can join such as tje letterwriting team, the Topknot team -- for the pregnant wives left behind while hubby is off to the middle east, the sewing team, to name a few. They always have programs underway -- they are gearing up for the holidays right now with a program called Holidays for Heroes.
It's to make sure that no soldier, sailor, marine or airman goes without Christmas gifts while in the Iraq War. I think this would be something great to get involved in, don't you?
