About Me
My kid has grown up and left home. This leaves a gaping hole in my life. Looking for something, someone to fill it.
For fun, I read voraciously; for work I help produce a magazine on renewable energy -- I'm managing editor of Solar Today (solartoday.org). To stay in shape I teach skiing at Vail and ride my bike(s) daily. I have a long history of foolish engagement with dangerous sports -- rock climbing, backcountry skiing, motorcycling, flying -- which has not, apparently, reached any sort of conclusion. Sports force me to live in the moment, and in fact to live in the next moment, twenty yards ahead of myself. They also keep me fit.
